The UNESCO Cairo Office

The UNESCO Cairo Office is The official grant ICDL/ECDL
The UNESCO Cairo Office, Regional Office for Science and Technology For the Arab states, is one of the major field offices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural organization (UNESCO).
Established in 1947, the Office Currently serves 17 Arab states. Its mission, like all other UNESCO field offices And units, is to contribute to peace and security in the world by promoting intellectual Cooperation among nations through education, science, culture, and communication.

The ICDL/ECDL is currently available in 146 countries/territories around the world which are grouped into five regions.

UNESCO Cairo Office is responsible for selecting and accrediting testing and training centers upon a set of internationally recognized standards by the ICDL/ECDL Foundation.

There are nine main products within the ICDL/ECDL Foundation product range, from equal skills at entry-level to specialised and professional programmes for IT practitioners
